For this first assigment I used an animation by one of my favorite animators Vewn for this exercise. First I took the video into photoshop and determined the frame rate of the video to adjust the amount of frames to fit 50 frames in two sheets. After I saved the frames I automated a contact sheet and created registration markers on each of the four corners of the two sheets.
After using Photoshop to create the registration marks to align the the sheets for both passes through in the risoprinter I separated the CMYK color layers and created combined cyan with black and magenta with yellow to make two separate color layers for each sheet. for my color layers I chose fluorescent orange and blue. Since the original animation only utilized 3 colors I though it would be best to focus on bringing out the shadows in the image so blue and orange worked well.
Initially my sheets had some trouble running though the printer but once they were printed they were scanned which allowed me to save the files as png. Using photoshop the png of the two scans were calibrated and centered for them to be run through and reanimated using p5.js.

Using p5 I animated my frames and added a boolean statement to run the second sheet once the first sheet finished. Overall I am pleased but would like to try this again with a trippier animation and more color layers.
