You will be required to write a series of research posts throughout the term on materials that relate to the deliverables in this class. These tasks require you to write 200 words on the topic with links and references to the artists, projects, books or technologies that you mention. These are research tasks and require you to read blogs, books, magazines, look at websites, watch talks and explore tools that you are not already familiar with. Your research should not only be online, remember you are in New York, you should be trying to go to galleries and visit the NYU library to deepen your research.

These tasks are designed to broaden your understanding of ideas, issues and approaches of artists and designers working in these areas. See the list of blogs and websites on the research page for starting points. As an artist or designer, it is critically important for you to have a strong grasp of what your contemporaries are making.

These posts should be written as posts on this blog and be labelled, ResearchPost01, ResearchPost02 etc.
