Final Clock Update

I changed the shape of the clock to circles with the pointers being the arrowheads just as the conventional clock. They still change color as each second/minute/hour/day changes. I attempted to create a more thought-out color scheme that followed the season but was not able to get to that yet. I did however add 4 images as the backdrop, each represents different seasons. Since it’s fall now (e.g: month >=9 && month <= 11) I added a picture I took a year or two ago of a foggy fall day on my way to school. I added three other pictures that I took as well to represent summer, spring, and fall.

Time Management

My reflection to the readings is one of no surprises. A key factor that any human being living in the 21st century has to adapt and apply in his/her lifestyle is time management. Perhaps one can pick out the most successful and productive of a crowd by simply looking at their time management skills. That is true with anything one does, the more effective in a shorter period of time you do something, the more time you will have to do even more effective and productive things. The calculator did not give me any realistic numbers due to my currently inconsistent weekly schedule. I am honest about devoting a lot of energy and time into my projects and practice as a drummer/musician. I also am aware of how much time I have that is wasted in miscellaneous actives and distractions, as well as creating work in my own way (such as creating music, art, etc.), I can say that in at least two or three days of each week I feel a spark of inspiration and/or a feeling of criticism towards myself as I am aware of how much more I could take advantage of the time and resources I have available to me. That is what keeps me going. I think most of us can agree that grasping true balance on and with everything is seemingly impossible. But I hope to gain satisfactorily pure discipline and balance in my life some day where I am no longer disappointed with myself for remaining in the comfort zone.

Time management

By reading the articles on creating software and using the time management calculator I realized just how much time I could be using on my work throughout the week as opposed to doing it all on one night or the day before or after it is assigned. According to the experience of many project managers when it comes to codding time is purely based on the skill and focus of those who are doing the work at the time. I have 100 hours of free time in my week according to my calculator, if I did say, an hour a day of homework I would possibly save even more time.

Time Management

According to the time management, I only have 3 hours to myself. That is incredibly true. I know I am working super hard but that is because I want to achieve the highest status i can go. Its never too late to start working hard for your dream. Even though they told me to stop i’m going to keep going farther and farther until I become the best. This is the road to my future

Negative numbers: Danger! Meltdown imminent! RED ALERT!

According to the managing calculator in  -54.03 hours short, so I think I’m the danger zone. For sure, mix of responsibilities plus school, stress, personal projects, an a long etc. I would use more time every week. But there it is the results. -54 hours? It’s like trying to do 2 weeks in just one.

Time Management

Based on my calculations from the “Time Management Calculator”, I am in danger and some of my activities should stop. Most of my activities come from being on my phone(emailing, social networks, blogging, texting, etc) and as well talking on my phone. Those are my daily activities because I am a blogger and Im usually on my laptop editing photos and answering emails because I do photography. Everything else may have been a little off because not always does it take em hours to get from point A to B or the amount of times that I read in one day. Besides those activities, I think that Im actually not in danger because me being on my phone and laptop is for school/homework purposes most of the time, but besides those activities I  don’t have any other activities that would be taking up my time. In the blog “Time Estimation, Software, and Dinner”, I totally relate to telling my friends that I am near and Im actually a little further. I feel like I estimate time good always planning ahead, but we all in some way do that, just as the blog says, tell our friends a shorter time so that they wouldn’t be upset. It is also better to plan time ahead, time estimation skills come in handy when it’s time to meeting for parties, dinners and events.

Where does my time go?

According the First Year Student Time Management Calculator, I have (- infinity) hours/week to do other activities .  Which is rather confusing. I personally think that the calculator is very flawed. What does “other activities” even mean? The calculator asks you to input the time you spend studying, eating, sleeping, relaxing, hanging out, commuting, and in class. That’s all I ever do. Of course I don’t have any time for “other activities” because I don’t have any “other activities” to do.
